Construction logistics for Technologiezentrum Ruhr (TZR) in Bochum
In March 2020, SSP AG was appointed to provide the overall design for Technologiezentrum Ruhr (TZR) in Bochum. SSP won a Europe-wide competition and will create a modern centre for start-ups and technology companies with a gross floor area of 12,000 m². TZR is located close to Hochschule Bochum and Ruhr-Universität Bochum.
The project’s centrepiece is an innovation forum, a platform for regional networking and interdisciplinary research presentations. The building follows SSP’s sustainable GreytoGreen® approach, focusing on resource efficiency, Cradle to Cradle principles and avoiding unnecessary materials. Climate adaptation measures include a green south façade and water storage on the roof and site.
On this project, RGLOG GmbH worked as a subcontractor for Züblin, supporting the implementation of construction logistics.
